There are many resources that AHBs can use to help them carry out their regulatory duties. Below is a list of some of those services and organisations, along with their contact information. This is not a definitive list of all the sources of information available.

Department of Housing, Local Government & Heritage (DHLGH) – The Department with responsibility for AHBRA.

Housing (Regulation of Approved Housing Bodies) Act 2019 – The Act which established the Approved Housing Bodies Regulatory Authority.

Companies Registration Office The central repository of public statutory information on Irish companies and business names.

Charities Regulator – The Charities Regulator maintains a public register of charitable organisations operating in Ireland and ensures their compliance with the Charities Acts.

Residential Tenancies Board – The RTB operates Ireland’s National Tenancy Register and administers disputes between landlords, tenants and third parties.

ICSH – The Irish Council for Social Housing (ICSH) is the national social housing federation representing over 270 housing associations across Ireland.

Housing Alliance – The Housing Alliance is a collaboration of six of Ireland’s largest Approved Housing Bodies.

Irish Statute Book – This site includes Acts of the Oireachtas and Statutory Instruments.

Government of Ireland – A portal to government websites.

HSE – The Health Service Executive is the publicly funded healthcare system in the Republic of Ireland, responsible for the provision of health and personal social services.

HIQA – The Health Information and Quality Authority is an independent authority that exists to improve health and social care services for the people of Ireland.
